10. Set S.M.A.R.T. Expectations
Setting expectations is easy when they are S.M.A.R.T. — Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-Based. Ensure employees know why the goals are in place and what happens when they are or are not met. Keep those goals consistent with the company mission and you have a recipe for success.
